Where’s Mykie?
It sounds like a silly title, but “Where’s Mykie” is a fun piece to write. It is in the beginning stages, so it hasn’t gotten too far just yet. It is the only one I’m writing in third person because I need to be able to take the story for different points of view at any given time….
So, last night was the first night of VBS (Vacation Bible School) at my church. This year, I am one of the music leaders, so I was dancing and teaching dances and songs to kids all night. I went home to help clean because of my mom’s surgery today; we wanted the house to look somewhat nice for when people come by to bring food. So…I went to bed around 10: 30 I think, but didn’t go to sleep until closer to 12. Then I woke up like every hour on the hour. Had to be up at 4:15 to be at the hospital at 5:30, but we got here at like 5:15. Mom went back to surgery about 7:30 and got out at 9:30. But they can’t let her leave yet and it’s 3:30. My dad, brother, and I have been in the waiting room for hours. Dad is back with mom now, waiting to see when they are going to let her go home. Hopefully it’s soon because I have to be at church for another night of VBS tonight at 5:30. I’m beyond exhausted. I think I might be onto zombie stage.
